In the interest of demonstrating Leapfrog’s commitment to maintaining processes that are transparent and free from conflicts of the interest, Leapfrog asked the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality at Johns Hopkins Medicine conduct an independent review of the Safe Practices section of the 2013 Leapfrog Hospital Survey and the CPOE Evaluation Tool. Leapfrog asked the researchers to evaluate whether either section of the Survey explicitly or implicitly endorses a specific commercial product.
