Scoring Info

Leapfrog’s experts work with Thomson Reuters to develop a scoring algorithm for every safety and quality practice or ‘leap’ in the Leapfrog Hospital Survey. This algorithm is applied to hospitals’ answers to individual questions in the survey which gives the results that are shown on our survey results web pages as shaded bars. Hospitals scores are displayed ranging from one filled bar to four filled bars. For more information on the scoring method for the NQF Safe Practices Leap, click here.
