HealthCare 21 Business Coalition is a non-profit, member driven organization committed to improving the quality and cost of healthcare in Tennessee and the surrounding region. HealthCare 21 believes only cooperative relationships between employers, health plans, hospitals and providers can produce positive and progressive changes in the healthcare of our community and our society.

Why did your organization decide to apply to become a Leapfrog Regional Leader?
The core strategies of HealthCare 21 are to improve the healthcare purchasing process, improve the health system and improve the health of the community. The Leapfrog Group’s status as a national organization focused on quality and safety goes hand in hand with HealthCare 21’s philosophies. Our partnership enables us to work towards achieving our goals to improve healthcare by working with hospitals in Tennessee and Georgia to encourage transparency and public reporting. In publishing the hospital’s  voluntary results from Leapfrog, HealthCare 21 is able to provide consumers with current  and accurate data to help them make more informed healthcare decisions.
